| ConQuest Sacramento 2008
 | Conquest Sacramento 2008! Wooooooo!
We begin with a little Ney at the Crossroads. Quite a lot of minis were put into a quite a small relative space.
 | Next door an air war over 'Nam raged. The DL did not play in this game but I couldn't help but notice jets plunging in flames.
 | Zombie Hunter was back again, but ostensibly better than last year. Zombie city was now developed into quite a sprawling Metropolis that even included electric signage.
 | A shootout happened in Prosperity. We tried so hard to join this game, but in the end it was missed. Prosperity sure looked nice though.
 | B-17, as always. Today's target was France. A short run in an effort to finish the game before the flea market crowded us out. Out of a squadron of 5 we lost only 2. It was certainly much worse losses than any of the other squadrons, but for a cursed squadron we came out OK.
 | We warmed up Sunday with a little Blackhawk down. However, it wasn't a downed Blackhawk, but a Prussian liftwood ship. Also, it wasn't Mogadishu, but Mars. Also, it wasn't Somalis, but aliens.
 | Here comes the Prussian launch vechicle air support boat thing to save us. This game was apparently based off the Space:1889 genre. Totally Victorian steampunk and totally rad.
 | The DL provided Aerodrome for Conquest Sac once again. Here is day 1, the third of several rounds we managed to work in over the course of the weekend.
 | Day 2 of Aerodrome got really exiciting. The artillery spotting scenario went over very well. The huge Gotha G.IV bomber made a cameo... and was promptly shot down. Obscenely large military equipment tends to create magnetic fields that attract bullets.
 | The con wound down with a good old boardgame: On the Underground. Similar to other connection building games, in this you build segments of the London Underground.
