ConQuest Sacramento is now all put away behind us. Things went well... most days... like always. I updated the website post convention. The gallery has some new images I managed to take at Andy's apartment. The game floor page has some new pictures of us messing around. The bottom of the home page links back to our cafepress store. I took that link down years ago, but our account still exists so I decided it might be fun to bring it back. We added new products, fun for all ages. The events page now links to the report on ConQuest Sacramento; I got that finished in record time. Finally, I posted the rules for the Aerodrome scenario used at said convention. Everyone seemed to enjoy it, and it made target anticipation a little easier for the players, thus speeding up the pace of the game. That, I believe, is a good thing since more rounds of shorter lengths is a high demand short supply commodity at conventions. Quick, fun games running at several times throughout the weekend are highly sought after. I talked to many people at the con who confirmed this. Plus, I found multiple short games easier to manage as a game master than a single long one. I hope other game masters out there get this message.
We have much planned for KublaCon. Erin has Giant Monster Dice again. Matt has an eight hour long drop in session of Fightin Plastic: Battle for the Living Room. I'll be there revealing the final edition of the Extreme Marine rules. Andrew plans Mage: The Awakening. I mentioned all this in a previous post, didn't I? I did. Now you won't forget. See you at the con!

| We are back in on the Convention circuit! It's been awhile, but I finally got to the news again. Rustycon may be a lost cause. I think I'll take it down from the events page since it's unlikely we will be going there anytime soon. We did make an appearence at Dundracon as always. Attendance was very high this year and we all actually had much difficulty parking and entering games. Things filled up rather quickly. We will be at Conquest Sacramento once again. Not one, but two games of Aerodrome will be hosted by us there. I am currently working on the Gone Fishin' Necromunda scenario and phasing it into its own standalone set of rules. Work on this project has been slow since we are all simultaneously deep in school. A number of other games that involve vikings, WWII, and the American Civil War are also in our collective think tank. I'll try not to give up too much detail yet, but you'll see them at conventions someday. At Kublacon you can expect to see the not yet finished fishin' game, monster dice, and a Mage: The Awakening session. I promise a grand old time. The website needs some serious uploads but I'm much too busy at the moment. Better luck next time!

| Somebody may have noticed I did a small update today. There are now a few new pictures up in the gallery taken from games played at Great Escape in Sacramento. It's a nice place to go on Friday nights, and for the time being is where nearly all our club activities are taking place. We are doing quite a bit of Legends of the Old West. Currently, the terrain built earlier this year is being painted. The way it is coming along, it will all be done by the end of next month. Contemporaneously, we are working on some projects for next year's conventions. They are all still in development, so there's little to say about them. I can attest that next year the DL Gaming Club will be quite active in the convention circuit. We have too many good projects in the works to not have at least one succeed.

| Well folks, convention season is over. We had a good run of it, this being possibly our most active year. Next year we intend to add another convention to our roster, this time far away in Seattle. We'll see how that goes with time. ConQuest S.F. was the last convention accessible to us until 2008, so we have a bit of a wait. Next year I understand that ConQuest S.F. will no longer be in Burlingame at the S.F. airport, but will be moved to Santa Clara at the San Jose airport. That will be an interesting change.
I feel we got some good gaming in this con, however I think each event we ran had something go wrong in one large way or another. At minimum, I would say we all learned something from the experience about how to run a good game in the future. At maximum, I would say we all had a good time anyways. Remarkably, I'm already hearing plans being made for games at Dundracon, so things should be happening really fast. In the meantime, most of us are back to school- which means very little painting time and open gaming again on Fridays where possible. The most cohesive meetings will be up in Sacramento, since the largest concentration of us will be there until December. We do, however, have plans to celebrate Craig's 21st in October with a roadtrip to Southern Cal. Make a forum post if anyone needs more info on this.
The latest, and likely last incarnation of the Gone Fishin' rules have been uploaded. It encompasses all the lessons learned from ConQuest. I don't plan to do any more work on the game after this, so I would not expect anymore updates. But, I could be wrong! In it's stead, I'll be working on rules for another game soon, this time having nothing to do with GW.
The pictures from ConQuest I have cropped and compressed. I should have them posted in the next day or two. That's all I have to say, I'll see you all again in December!

| Oh man, convention time again. This year at Conquest SF I don't think we have any member that will have to pay to get in. I think we are all gamemastering something. Andrew is doing his Pirates of the Spanish Main campaign rules, which will be ready for download here when finished. Matt is running a "loaded" RPG with the WFB rolepaly system. Erin will even be there and will be running monster dice. Joel will be throwing down on the Gone Fishin' Necromunda scenario. We play tested that yesterday for the final time before the con and had a blast... semi-literally. The final rework of the rules before the con are up for download. At B-17 Matt is supposed to be captain of the leper colony; remarkably everyone else in the club has won bent wing at some point this past year so will be joining him in the kill zone.
This summer was supposed to be one of constant RPGs, but turned out to be one of constant summer school. Now we're all done and have a month long window to catch up, we'll see if that can be done.
The new forum seems to be doing what it was supposed to, I mean, people are using it. Mostly just Andrew and Joel, but at least it has a purpose again. Maybe more people will remember it exists sooner or later. Until next time!

| I'm sorry for the complete lack of update frequency. There's a correlation between this and when I'm at school. Time? I'm sorry, fresh out of that. Now to catch up on the past 5 months. We went to four conventions; yeah 4. It was fun, but I only posted pictures from one. I didn't take pictures of two of them, and Conquest Sac pictures were saved on my harddrive at school when it melted. Those, sadly, no longer exist in the physical realm. KublaCon 07 are uploaded and non-destroyed. At Kubla we ran the first run of our Necromunda boat scenario. It went ok, but now I know what needs fixin'. I'm running this thing again at Conquest SF with promised results. See the downloads section for v1.5, the (hopefully) nearly final version of it. It's getting very close to how I imagine this game.
I'm making/made two significant changes to this website. I cleaned up the email service. Lycos, though a generous website host, provides poor email. The new service in place is a faux address that will pass messages through my personal inbox before they arrive at the club's account. If you make sure to include the subject line I requested then your message will be stopped by a filter in my personal inbox and I will read it much sooner. I was having problems with lycos deleting messages before I logged in. Sorry if you emailed us with no response. Also in the works, a new forum. I'm getting a "focus group" together to figure out the best new service. Something that will please most of us and encourage regular use. Right now, there's not much point in it existing- it isn't used.
We said goodbye to Erin in my last update. However, she's been back twice since then to see us. I guess goodbye is not the final score after all. At this point the club exists in three spacial realms. We have our Sacramento branch, Dublin, and San Lorenzo. We seem to meet in all these places now. If you want to become a regular member, I'll apologize ahead of time that the word "regular" barely describes anything we've been doing. If you are in any of those three proximities, it's likely we'll gather there at some place, by some means, for some reason, to play some kind of game. The only thing that is certain is the conventions. We go to those, and literally schedule our jobs and lives around them. First thing I do when the calendar goes up at the start of the year is strike off 5 choice weekends for vacation. At any rate it should be an interesting summer. We hope to arrange another tournament with the OpFor eventually. A LAN party is also traditionally certain; to be announced. With that, see you at Conquest SF!

| Time for another update. I added pictures of a few of the events we have been doing since the last update. I added some gallery pictures (finally), and I... wrote this! What's new? Well, we have The Shield, Dundracon and SacCon all coming up real soon. Before that, we have something much, much more interesting... we're moving! That's right, packing up, splitting up, and moving. Before this month is over, all of our members are going to be living in different counties, and in one case, states. I honestly still can't tell what exactly this will do to the club, but it should remain largely intact. Most of the infastructure will be coming with me and the guys up to Sacramento- and we have ambitions to re-establish ourselves up there. We still have no idea what this will entail, but if you look for us in Dublin- chances are we won't be easily found. I would like to take a moment of silence to honor our recently lost member Erin, who moved away last week. The contributions she made in her six months of participation were far greater (no offense, but it's true) then anyone else's in equal time. She will be missed.

| Just thought I would do a little quicky update today. The homepage now features us at the Halloween-a-thon looking like... uh, awesome. The sandwhich before us is the prize gifted to the winner of the costume contest, which was Andrew with his "Black Mage" from FF. In the realm of newsy news, I thought I should take this time to announce the future of the DL. Since many of us are moving up to Sacramento a few months from now, it is still being determined what exactly will become of the club. It looks like it may move with us, but that will leave one or two behind. Anyways, come January there will be changes of an extreme nature, but rest assured as things get situated I will update.

| Hello and welcome to the mid-summer update. With KublaCon over, I just finally got around to posting the pictures I took. See the event section. Well, that took forever, but what didn't was getting Aerodrome 1.1 started. As you are all aware we now have quite a bit of planes and materials, but since we played it non-stop for the entirety of June expect a long hiatus. Meanwhile, we have 5 new games in progress... to be escalated when we see fit. In the category of Sci-fi we are start(ing)/(ed) Warmachine, Infinity, and Urban War. For historicals, we have Johnny Reb II ACW and Warmaster Ancients in the oven. I think our Sci-fi games will be first since they are all skirmish level, so should'nt take long. We have Conquest 06 coming up so look forward to that, but so far the events listed are depressed in quantity. We'll see how this pans out; until then!

| I decided to take it upon myself to do a little work on the website this week. I've added the download section like I have always planned to do, although over six months late. All members send me files if you want them put up in there. I've also started to (finally!) start the gallery. We actually have a few miniatures in there now. Everyone get ready for me since I will start a campaign to take gallery quality pictures. KublaCon starts this week, I hope everyone shows up for Extreme Necronomicron. I expect you'll all be there.

| Plans are happening now. It's been a long period of largely uneventful dormancy since after the last con. Usual meetings with the usual games- but the future remains bright. We got KublaCon, the biggest of them all coming up on the horizon, and this time another round of club sponsored excellence. We're running the exact same Necromunda-athon as the last con, except this time people have promised to show! Woo! Also Andrew will be rousing us for a lovely Magic CCG white border tourney. That should be fun eh? After that's done with, summer begins... and we have some plans. For starters, all our college buddies will be back, faced with the baggage they left behind. We should have everything ready to start playing rounds of Aerodrome 1.1 any week now. We liked the game so much at conquest last year I bought the rules. Andy is leading us into the worlds of Infinity and Warmachine, while Matt demands we start Warmaster Ancients. Sounds like the future is promising, see you all at the premiere~

| The cookies are in the oven for Dundracon XXX this year. We will be hosting a variety of events including (but not limited to): Necromunda and Dungeons and Dragons. OK, mabye those are the only events- but hey, we will be gracing many others with our presence so enjoy that. I will be running our necromunda-athon on Friday four an enjoyable for hours. Mr. Heilborn will be commanding an awe-inspiring D&D 2nd edition to be featured on Saturday at eight in the morning, just after dawn. It sounds to me like this is going to be the best Christmas ever. Expect pictures and report in the events section post action. I also reluctantly promise that I will start thinking about beginning to plan taking pictures for the gallery. Until then, Andy is keeping regular updates on his deviantart through the way of my camera.

| This is the new website. Lovely eh? I think it's fine. It's not quite as amazing as the old one at first glance, but that one was just a template build. This is full on html action! To dispell your immediate thought: "Well, he's showing off." Not nearly, I admit my html skills are mostly fundamentals with a few clicks and whistles; not too exciting. We're doing it this way because that blasted template took fourteen and a half years to edit. Html is lightning quick and I can actually upload things and move them around with ease. I also took the opportunity to go ahead and consolidate the site. It is now more descriptive of what we actually do instead of things we have accomplished. I dropped the member page and battle reports you may have noticed. The member page seemed largely pointless, since the definition of "member" has become somewhat ambiguous around here. I may put it back with popular demand. Let's face it, our battle reports were OK, but we never write new ones. Once again, I might put it back with popular demand, but that's where we are for now. Oh by the way... I'm Joel- Webmaster and leader-in-being of the club. I'm pretty much who writes things on the website outside of the forum. Nice to meet you.
